The fixtures have been reviewed and another draft has been made (v2 as v1 contained inconsistencies)
Here you can see the draft
There are 5 individual leagues with 4 groups each. The top 2 of each group after the first rounds will start in the play-offs battling for eternal pride.
It’s awesome to see so many clans signing up, and with the great deal of passworded servers, CB should be capable of running this cup fine without interruptions from public joiners.
The cup has been delayed 1 week because some administrative work was still ongoing in preparation of the cup and for reviewing and releasing the groups! So first match week will start June 8th, 2009.
GL to all participants!
More info on the cup’s homepage!
If a game that qualifies itself to be an e-sports title, wants to stay popular and active during several years, then it is not just up to the game.
Loads of fansites have been made, ours among one of them, to support this game and the communities that play the game.
An important part of that is match coverage, and QLTV focuses on just that!
11:00 PM EST, May 27, 2009 – QuakeLive.TV™, the new shoutcasting and e-sports destination for the North American Quake Live™ competitive community, is set to officially launch at 9:30PM EST, on May 31, 2009.
You can read or download the official press release from their website.
For now, it’s all fun and games for our North-American friends, but they are working very hard on rolling out a EU shoutcasting branch named QLTV-EU in the near future.
I have been a little over-concentrated on prepping the Recruitment Center that I forgot to report about EQLT #3. Yes indeed, it has come to an end and new faces claim places in the top 3:
Destiny (formerly known as Bodzo)
calipt
Mav
That being said, #4 is already in play as the signups have been filled numbering 64 slots once again. Brackets will be posted on June 7th and will start the day after.
Apart from that, the boys of EQLT have released yet another new version of their website, this one looking very clean!
Have a look at: http://www.eqlt.co.cc/ where you can also find the rules of this tournament!
There is also a QL forum related topic and of course the known channel #eqlt
*thumbs-up!*
Hey guys!
Today, we are proudly announcing the release of something new: The Quake Live Recruitment Center.
The concept is quite simple: if you’re looking for a clan or for players, here’s just the place for all of you !
We had the idea to create a system here at #teams.ql in which anyone can easily find a clan that fits his shoe or find future teammates to complete their lineup!
We support all the teammodes (TDM/CTF/CA) and use a variety of filters to make your search criterias as sharp as possible.
If you have any kind of question, suggestion, etc. just get on #teams.ql on QuakeNet.
I want to particularly thank Lashknife who has done an amazing work coding the whole package !

IRC: #teams.ql @ QuakeNet

In case you’re not online everyday to play Quake Live, and hardly get the time to do anything except checking your email, at least the one mail it should contain is the newest gossip about Quake Live, and for now that’s Siberia, the 2nd map of “6 new maps in 6 weeks”.

“Siberia” is a regular ctf map without the runes and is suitable for 6 to 12 players. It is from the same hand as the creator of Ironworks, which sounds promising!
You can find more information and a few screenshots of the maps here.
