Dreamhack vods (partially) released!
Ziggy "nvc" Orzeszek has just released the DHW12 vods , which can be found on http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhackql/videos?kind=highlights. QLive.co.cc Duel Tournament
It's raining duel tournaments these days! Because of the lack of private servers - be patient, they will come sooner or later 
- the only game type that is actually doable in terms of running and managing, is duel.
I read on IRC about it this morning and it was posted yesterday on the Quake Live forums, and seeing that in 1 day it has already a decent amount of signups, it's worth mentioning!
Spontangames.de Quake Live Duel Cup 2009 [Edition #3]
Spontangames.de is making it a tradition to organize a duel cup on a monthly basis. Their past editions (edition #1 and edition #2) have been a success so I can only cheer for this!

ESL.eu Quake Live Duel Springleague
After having recently launched a Quake Live ladder, ESL.eu yesterday announced their Quake Live spring league, which will run from 30 March to 31 May.
A league system is different from the ladder format though, so allow me to explain the system for those who are not familiar with it yet.
Groupstage
After having signed up, all competitors are being placed into several groups. Each player has to play against all other players in their group. If you win a match against a player, you get points. If you win enough matches and end near the top of your group, you advance to the playoffs.
The playoffs
Once you reach the playoffs all players will be organized into brackets. From now on, if you're knocked out, you're out of the league.
QuakeCon 2009 registration
Probably the most exciting event of the year for all quake fans, QuakeCon, is coming! The new QuakeCon 2009 website tells us all about it.
This year's event will be held at the Hilton Anatole - Dallas, Texas from Aug 13th - 16th. This means you can combine a great gaming experience with a luxurious stay at one of the famous Hilton hotels.
