Dallas, Texas! The place to be for one of the world’s most known LAN parties ever: QuakeCon! Held August 12-15 at the Hilton Anatole! But this post is not about the accomodations regarding QuakeCon, it’s about the tournaments that will be played there!
The Electronic Sports World Championships of 2010 have come to an end, and while many games were played, we of course only focus on Quake Live, as the 14 contestants – some couldn’t make it, were replaced, … – had to battle it out in order to have a chance to take away a nice pot of gold!
The Electronic Sports World Cup finally knows its last qualified players as Garpy secured the spot on the UK lan qualifications and ferus won the Swedish online qualifier.
This means that Disneyland Paris will see 20 players compete with each other in the ESWC Grand Final 2010.
Dreamhack Summer 2010 has come to an end, only to see it’s current champion, av3k, confirm his title half a year later.
3 BYOC spots had to be filled during the on-site event qualifier to join the main Kaspersky QL Duel tournament.
So! Dreamhack is near!
First we have the BYOC Duel tournament which fills up the remaining 3 slots of the main round, but what we all want to know from you is…
One last online qualifier was needed before the Dreamhack QL crew would be able to put the participants into seeding groups and then draw the actual Dreamhack Summer Kaspersky QL competition groups from that pool.

This means that while 1 more slot is open for players to be able to participate world’s biggest lan party, that all other players who already qualified should start preparing wildly as Dreamhack is near!
FnaticMSI PLAY wants you to participate in a fantastic LAN esports event in Beijing, China! Amongst several games like CS, CoD and Hon, also Quake Live will be present in the form of a Duel Competition.
But we’re not there yet, first…. you have to qualify!
I know I’m late reporting this, but I didn’t get the chance to watch the semi finals and the grand final live on ESL TV this weekend, so I have been ignoring about every news page or mail message or feed that could possibly spoiler the results of the clash of these titans. And oh boy, some great games have been broadcasted with excellent commentary by ESL.
