IEM4 Asia roundup
In our previous post to remind you all of the upcoming ESL World Championship, there were still some gaps to be filled by the finalists of the IEM4 Asian Championship which took place last weekend.
IEM4 Asia and World Cup – Reminders!
Two things coming up, and one in preparation of the other, namely the Asian Intel Extreme Masters playoffs, which will present us with the candidates for the IEM4 World Championship!
First of all, 8 players will be attending the Quake Live competition at the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan. A prizepot of $4000 is up for grasp and 3 slots are available for entering the World Championships later on.

Right, unless you've lived under a rock this weekend, or got a little feverish like me and as such missed out on the semis and finals - thank you demos! - you already know the contents of this post. But for those who don't, here's a little roundup of what happened on Saturday and Sunday 23rd/24th in the last rounds of the Intel Extreme Masters 4 European championships.

The Group matches have finished, and of the 16 great players attending the IEM 4 EU championship finals at Cologne, only 8 can go forward into the playoffs.

Early 2010 interviews!
While we're all waiting for the IEM4 EU championships to start at 14:00 CET on ESL TV (HS-TV mirror) it's best to do some reading to pass time.
Several people have been questioned on how they prepared for IEM, what their views are on the past year and upcoming year, and if you haven't read up on that, now would be a good time, as while IEM lasts 4 days, it's not 24/7 live on tv, so gotta fill up the gaps with that and some other views on what 2010 can bring.

It's on! It ... is ... on!
3 Weeks into 2010 already sees an awesome event take place within 2 days! ESL announced the groups for the IEM4 EU Championships at Cologne, Germany and the skill level of all contestants is over 9000 combined so that promises a load of entertainment from Thursday 21st until Sunday 24th!
