Domain transfer – some downtime possible

We're moving our sh1t.

The transfer has been started and there might be some downtime between the end of the transfer and the editing of the DNS settings. The content stays on the same server, as we are only moving the domain.

VODs moved to Youtube, no more tv.holysh1t.net

Now that Own3d is rumored to go down, a few things needed to be done. First, me and Lashknife sat together to try and save as many vods we could. We currently have 816 VODs on Own3d, but all VODs predating 1/1/2011 don't load anymore due to problems at Own3d. This results in a loss of about 600 VOD's. The remaining 200 have been safely reuploaded to Youtube. You can find them here.

The other issue was tv.holysh1t.net: we didn't really look at it in a way we used to.

Lashknife welcomes #2

You all remember Lashknife, I hope.  A long while ago he became a father and that meant he had a lot less time to spare and work on his favorite projects. He has been busy however just 2 days ago his wife gave birth to another son!

Congratulations to Lashknife! And let's hope it'll be a hardcore Quaker!

Holysh1t summer cleanup

Holysh1t hasn't been doing anything for quite a while. News only got posted when we just happened to pass by at the right time, but we'll try to make that change. We'll try to provide you with Quake news and tips, like we used to do in the past.

A little history as to why we have left the site to be in it's current state:

So,

to keep this archive of many awesome great userfriendly tutorials and guides going, I moved it to another host. A renewal was due and of course I wanted to move to a more optimal hosting with regards to what is needed for which amount of ping ping!

Initial migration was easy, full ftp and mysql dump, and the followup restoration, but a few things went crazy.
- plugins: fixed!
- minor styling/path issues: fixed!
- a system path which did not feel like opening up to the rest of the website due to a forgotten htaccess from previous host: fixed!

But 1 thing remains and I've cracked my head on it during the weekend but I can't seem to find out why the theme goes nutters when you enter a post. The post is there (woohoo) but the sidebar and footer area is missing. Sooner or later, I'll figure this out, the important part is that the data is restored and accessible, but if there are wordpress heroes out there, I do prefer sooner over later as this thing drives me coucou!
