There's not that many pickups running and some voices have gone up to add CA to the mix. TDM hasn't been played often but there's several reasons for that (only 15 minute timelimit, 5v5 standard servers,...).
CA however has plenty of maps and seems quite popular in pubs anyway. I understand CA is more of a pub game, but still would nice to considering in the pickup anyway.

edit: Adding CA won't remove CTF or TDM.
