When was the first time you heard about quake live and how exactly did you go about getting an invite?
Personally, a few months ago, back when I had forgotten all about games and hadn't touched quake for like 3 years or more, Teecee told me I should start playing quake again cause the community is still very active. Seeing how I actually had quite some time to kill with 15 hours of lessons per week this year, I tought why not...
Yet soon he started telling me about this thing called "quake live" which runs in a web browser. I actually told him about 3 times to fuck off with his stupid browser quake... what could be better than just the original anyway?
Boy was I wrong when I first started! The thing that amazed me the most about Quake Live is how responsive it is. It's like there's no delay at all (not talking about the ping though, just the general "feel" of the game). Also I immediately noticed how easy it was to hit someone. If I recall right I spent the first few hours on the instagib servers getting owned
Several months later I'm ranked first in time played and Teecee quit quake live to roam the dungeons of World of Warcraft. (screw him
).
