Ok.. I'm really a practical guy when it comes to mouse sensitivity.
I use a Logitech G3
Here is a simple GGL review for the G3
I'm using a steelseries clothmat
I use the latest Set-Point
No Game Detection
No Acceleration implementation
Advanced game settings have 1800 - 1200 - 400 dpi settings (X and Y axis are locked)
I use 1800Dpi for Quake
The report rate is 1000
My Quake sensitivity is 0.8
and uses Windows mouse input (in_mouse -1)
I use no mouse acceleration
This results in approx 26cm per 360 degree turn
I think I have my ideas right.
1) Sensitivity is relative to Dpi
2) Set Point software is good for using in Quake games
3) Mouse Acceleration is a personal choice rather than 'best practice'
4) The choice of mouse mat is personal rather than 'best practice'
I need to know if my ideas are sound
Thx Ger
