I'll be in a game, hit someone with rockets 4~ times and then I'll get one hit from a rocket. Why?
I pretty much always get one hit it feels. I'll hit somebody with rockets twice, and they'll hit me once and I'm dead. I always time items, guns well [I'm from UT04, so quake movement is harder but timing is easy] so I don't.. get it.
Is this just what quake is about?
Not sure how do you mean you hit guy 4 times and get 1 hit.
But if you mean you get "hit sound" 4 times that doesnt mean you did full rocket dmg to him with that hit. Only body hit counts as 100 dmg. So if you hit floor next to him rocket did some splash damage and that s not that much...
Dunno it s pretty smooth to me .. Post a link of your config so we ll take a look.
