   can some people confirm if the quakelive.com website is up?

   I can get a DNS lookup (for the ip address), but it times out when trying to connect?

   I have not ever had a problem connecting to quakelive.com before.

   BTW I'm in Australia atm, if that makes any difference..

   hmm.. seems there is an XMPP Authentication problem, probably due to the recent DNS changes..

   .. no players ANYWHERE!!!

   I guess that's one way to shoot yourself in the foot, and with QuakeCon just around the corner to...

   Anyone with ideas..

   well it seems there is a solution

   67.215.66.132 authorize.quake3arena.com
   

   place that in your hosts file (without the http:// part, and remember to delete them next week)

   ... or you can just wait a bit longer for the NDS to propagate to the XMPP servers (maybe)
