We decided to try this simple wordpress based forum platform... it's very basic, but should be fast and simple

There might be some problems when you sign up for an account through the holysh1t.net website. You won't be able to immediately post untill an admin asigns a role. Registering via the forum itself will allow you to post immediately, though you can't set your password yet during registration (you can after registration in your profile).

for those who care... you can get a global avatar that works on many websites & blogs at http://www.gravatar.com ... its linked to the email adress you use to comment / post with. YOu don't even have to register for a gravatar to work in the holysh1t.net news comments.

Yes but as far as i can tell, no integration into wordpress, sharing user database and such, and that was what we were looking for in a simple/fast forum.
It's not the forum format with the most bells and whistles,... but it gets the job done and it allows optimal integration with wordpress accounts. Also, it's still very new and there will be many features added.
like for example, I just updated the "quote" feature so it actually shows the author as well.
