Holysh1t.net is born

November 24, 2008 7 comments Article

We’ve all experienced it already – one inch away from a cap and you get fragged … Holy Shit! Welcome to holysh1t.net!!

We started as a Quake Live CTF pickup channel and are happy to see CTF is still a very popular gametype. Quake Live is only in beta phase and we already have over 30 pickupgames per week.
Therefore we want to go further and bring you all the news of the CTF scene on this website.

You can expect scenenews, leaguenews, interviews and ofcourse lots of fun. We hope you will enjoy reading between a pickup in #qlpickup.eu

Man.. the #naqlctf hasn’t even had 30 pickup games total yet.. and I think it died already lol (we never even got an IRC bot in there FFS..)

Why is it that in the Quake universe Europe always does things better =/

dunno, higgs. The CTF community has always been quite big in Europe.
You just need to convince them it’s the most fun gametype, I guess 🙂

q3 ctf was about the last gametype that survived in q3 iirc? So naturally many players look back positive on that period and hope for a good continuation of that 🙂
