ComplexityGaming.com Quake Live Movie Contest
Complexity Gaming is organizing a Quake Live movie contest. The contest was announced February 27th, so the news reached us a bit late. You've only got time until 20 March 2009 to submit your entry, so if you still want to participate, better get started now!
Prizes:
- Fatal1ty Titanium PCI-Express Soundcard, Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset and a Vado HD Pocket Video Cam
- Vado Pocket Video Cam, Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
- Vado Pocket Video Cam
Movie entry Requirements
The requirements for the video are that the movie:
- Is about Quake Live (duh!)
- Is between 3 and 6 minutes in length
- Includes a NoobFlicks intro.
Submitting your Entry
To submit your entry, upload it to NoobFlicks and link to it from the official contest page.
The finalists will be chosen by the Complexity Gaming staff for which users can then vote for a winner.
Videos displaying Quake Live's awesomeness will only boost the game's popularity, so I can only cheer for contests like these. Good luck to all participants!

I dont think there are a lot of tools for movie editing in QL yet (from what I think I’ve heard). Then again I have 0 experience in movie making so maybe I’m just wrong
Either way, I do think 20 days is a bit short for 3/6 minutes of footage and I don’t think the entries will even come close to the now running DELL mini laptop contest by derquaker.com & own3d.at.
Either way a very good idea and I’m curious for the entries =).

Good forum link Venji, I’ll check it out to improve my gauntlet frag too, now it just skips the actual kill but with some optimalization on high detail and a trick to record slower, maybe i can capture it better

Man the graphics on your QL are awesome!
Is that how you play or just set that quality up for the frag vid? Mind uploading your cfg if it is how you run QL normally?
