Standard mappool for March
A new standard mappool has been released in the rotation scheme. Maps that jump out are Terminatria and Toxicity, but CTF players will be happy to see Cold Cathode in the pool along with Ironworks and Japanese Castles! You can enjoy these maps until April 1st, who knows what we will get on that day.
Standard mappool for February
Aerowalk, Shining Forces, Siberia, Terminus. Some of the maps you will be playing the most in the coming month if you are a standard user. A nice extra is the fact that there are now 24 maps instead of 21 maps in the standard mappool. Have fun!
QLHud.net back in business
Not all bad news today, QLHud is back up and running. This large HUD repository will definitely find you a suiting HUD to go with your personal taste and needs. Feel free to add and share your own HUD creations, which can easily be made with VisualHUD.
The website has been around since 2009 but was offline for the past few months. I would like to thank nico for putting in extra effort to return the QLHud website after the original author of the backend code "claimed the removal of it". The whole websites source is available on github now. Have a look and support the site with some Facebook likes and Google+ plusses(?)!
Standard mappool for september
Every first monday of the month, the mappool for Quake Live's standard players will be cycled. This will give freebies the chance to play different maps and to give them a taste of (some of) the premium content. Click read more to see this month's 21 selected maps or read the newspost on QuakeLive.com.
HoQ CTF 4v4 Season 4
House of Quake has announced sign-ups to be open for their 4th season of 4v4 Capture The Flag. The mappool will be fixed for each round and a few maps have been added to the usual 5 maps. This way HoQ is trying to introduce new maps in the competitive scene.
They also have something special in store for us.

...this season we're going to do something radical. Something insane. Something Jolt did years ago.
Curious? You can find the schedule on ESR. You can sign up for the CTF season here.
