So,
to keep this archive of many awesome great userfriendly tutorials and guides going, I moved it to another host. A renewal was due and of course I wanted to move to a more optimal hosting with regards to what is needed for which amount of ping ping!
Initial migration was easy, full ftp and mysql dump, and the followup restoration, but a few things went crazy.
- plugins: fixed!
- minor styling/path issues: fixed!
- a system path which did not feel like opening up to the rest of the website due to a forgotten htaccess from previous host: fixed!
But 1 thing remains and I've cracked my head on it during the weekend but I can't seem to find out why the theme goes nutters when you enter a post. The post is there (woohoo) but the sidebar and footer area is missing. Sooner or later, I'll figure this out, the important part is that the data is restored and accessible, but if there are wordpress heroes out there, I do prefer sooner over later as this thing drives me coucou!
Quake Live update 15 march 2011
Id Software released an update today that requires you to reinstall the plugin. Just giving you a heads-up. As usual a few premium maps have been added, one of which some of you might remember quite well from the Christmas period: Distant Screams .This is a stripped down Silent Night. The second map that has been added is a duel map named Toxicity.

Notepad++ Language file for Game Configs

Prompted by a thread on the QuakeLive forums asking if there were any programs with syntax highlighting for editing QL configs, and the fact that there isn't, I just went off and made a custom language file for Notepad++.
I went through the configs from the games I play, and added in some extra things to make those work too. It's not perfect and I'm no guru, but it's better than just plain old black text on a white background. The colours need tweaked, but they're workable at the moment.
So yeah, this should provide rough syntax highlighting for your game config files in Notepad++. Screenshots:
